The Color of Hope & Generation “H”

“…the color of hope
To tempt the future with our hearts.”

logoWhat is the color of hope? For both Young Brother & Young Lasallian Pedro Bravo and RELAN General Councilor Robert Schieler, the color of hope is green. Brother Pedro shared with me that it comes from an expression in Spanish, “El verde es el color de la esperanza.”He said, “For me, I am always thinking green.” Brother Robert said, “Green is the color of life, of nature that gives life and sustains life.” Chatting with Ronald Pollak, Young Lasallian & Lasallian Volunteer, he said white is the color of hope, “I look at it as a blank slate and a chance to start fresh. Being Builders of Hope

We are two days into the 3rd International Symposium of Young Lasallians and it has been a transformative experience to gather with Young Lasallians from across the globe. We have had inspiring speakers and meaningful dialogue around topics that are allowing us to build hope together. As we met with our Regional groups on Sunday evening, I was amazed how quickly we all reconnected after our pre-symposium meeting prior to the Huether Conference. A Call, An Opportunity, and A Commitment

In two days the 3rd International Symposium of Young Lasallians will begin. More than 45 young people will gather to respond to a call, explore an opportunity, and deepen a commitment.

The Call
Building Hope Together is more than the theme for this gathering. Each Lasallian who has played a role in bringing this symposium into reality and each Lasallian who will attend has been called to be a part of building hope together for the Young Lasallian movement and the Lasallian family as a whole.
